MILTON LUVINE

If you have been thinking about coming back to church — now is the time. Visit us every 1st & 3rd Sundays at 11 am, Pastor Milton Luvine, will be leading worship and preaching as our new pastor on Sunday, January 15, 2016. Pastor Milton Luvine & Lady Cassandra Luvine is eager to begin a new chapter with us, focusing on spreading the gospel, introducing Christ Jesus to our youth and young adults, offering biblical family fun activities, and engaging with the community. It is the perfect opportunity — a new year — a new pastor — and a great time to join our church family and lend a hand in the kingdom of God!

CORE BELIEFS

The mission of St. Paul MB Church is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.

GOD
God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. (Gen. 1:1,26-27,3:2; Ps. 90:2; Mt. 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2Cor. 13:14)

JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father and lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate his power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Mt. 1:22-23; Is. 9:6; Jn 1:1-5; Heb. 4:14-15; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; Rom. 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Tim. 6:14-15; Titus 2:13)

THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God and is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation and provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth and guidance in doing what is right. He gives believers spiritual gifts when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under his control daily. (2 Cor. 3:17; Jn. 16:7-13; 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 2:12, 3:16; Eph. 1:13, 5:18; Gal. 5:25)

CHILDREN'S SERVICES

Youth Ministry
Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The youth ministry of our church is recognized for their meaningful interaction with kids.

4th Saturday - 9:30 am

WOMEN'S SERVICES

Our Sisters ministry give the ladies in our church family and community special times of interaction. The Sisters ministry meets in several locations throughout our community for Bible study, prayer (and, of course, eating).This group is for women ages 18 and up.

MEN ACCOUNTABILITY GROUP

Accountability among men is an act of integrity. Accountability is designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages. Our Accountability group meets every 4th Sat. at 9:30 am.

MINISTRY OUTREACH

WHERE CAN I SERVE?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as teaching the youth, helping people in the community, and preparing the church bulletins.

MEDIA & TECHNOLOGY

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Instagram feed for additional church communication.

MARRIAGE COUNSELING

Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Our Pastor, first lady, and appointed couples experience & spiritually lead marriage counselors. Their role in listening, understanding, helping, and encouraging struggling couples has, by God’s grace, saved marriages, and repaired relationships. Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse. For more information about Marriage Class see Lady Cassandra Luvine.

PRAYER WARRIORS

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Warriors team pray for our pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

MUSIC & DRAMA

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
